Local writers, add your voice to Raleigh’s premiere festival of arts and creativity!

Hosted by Tongue & Groove for the third year running, litSPARK’s annual open mic welcomes poetry, spoken word, storytelling, flash fiction, rants—any form of performance literature. (No comedy or sermons.)

List opens at 7. Show starts at 7:30. Slots are 7 minutes.

Covers welcome. Originals encouraged!

Join litSPARK for a discussion about various publishing options for authors trying to
figure out "what’s next" with their book.

Panelists:
*David Menconi, moderator. will be speaking to both the author's side,
and to the publisher's side via the University of Texas Press series
he co-edits.


*Richard Krawiec, of Jacar Press. Poet/author, editor addressing some
of the do's/don'ts of approaching presses both large and small.


*Dave Wofford, proprietor of Horse & Buggy Press. Covering specialty
presses and how they work.


*Carrie Knowles, author (and Piedmont Laureate Emeritus, from 2014)
with a wide range of publishing experience.


*Steven Norton, first-time author.

After selecting whether you want a poem by a human or the bookBot, the dispenser prints out a poem on a pocket-sized piece of paper, and even adds photographs of you and the poet.
